Axes and hatchets, oh my! Part of Jim Mayne’s collection of axes and hatchets will be featured at the Edmeston Museum’s next pop-up exhibit.
It will open on September 19th from 9 a.m. to noon. Jim, a local farmer and active community participant, has a huge collection! As a former board member of the Otsego County Historical Association, many of you have met him at auctions, events and at the OCHA booth at the county fair. He has loaned the museum a number of unique hatchets and axes just for this display. There are vintage Winchester’s and Cayuga’s along with a rare Black Raven.
The exhibit will run through Saturday, October 17th. Curious to get a glimpse of some of these rarities? Check us out on Facebook! The Edmeston Museum, located at 1 North Street, Edmeston, is free and open to all.
